Steps to Become a Broker in Indiana

Meet the experience requirement
At least 2 years of active experience as a licensed broker to apply for the Managing Broker designation.

Complete broker pre-license education
Complete the required 24 hours of broker pre-license education from an approved school.

Pass the broker licensing exam
A separate broker exam may not be required in Indiana. Confirm with the IREC.

Submit your broker application
Apply through the IREC, pay the required fees, and complete any background or fingerprinting steps. Maintain broker-level continuing education going forward.
