Before you enroll
Technical Requirements
Click2CE courses run in your browser — no downloads, no plugins, no special software. Here's what we recommend so your lessons, quizzes, audio narration, and certificate downloads all work the first time.
Web Browser
- Recommended
- Latest Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari (released within the last 12 months).
- Minimum
- Chrome 110+, Edge 110+, Firefox 115+, Safari 16+.
- Notes
- JavaScript and cookies must be enabled. Ad blockers, script blockers, and aggressive privacy extensions can break course player audio, AI Tutor responses, and seat-time tracking — disable them for click2ce.com if you see lessons stuck or buttons that won't respond.
Internet Connection
- Recommended
- 10 Mbps or faster, stable.
- Minimum
- 3 Mbps download.
- Notes
- Click2CE uses server verification to confirm your active engagement during lessons. If your connection is interrupted, the platform will attempt to reconnect automatically. Intervals during which the server cannot verify your active engagement are not credited toward your required seat time. Mobile hotspots and shared Wi-Fi work as long as the connection is steady. Public Wi-Fi at coffee shops, airports, and hotels often blocks cookies or interrupts streaming audio; use a dedicated connection if you can.
Audio
- Recommended
- Working speakers or headphones for narrated lessons and the AI Tutor.
- Minimum
- Audio is optional — every lesson includes the full text on the page, so you can complete the course without sound.
- Notes
- If audio playback stalls or skips, refresh the page. iOS Safari users: tap once on the lesson before pressing Play (Apple requires a user gesture before audio can start).
Screen Size
- Recommended
- Laptop or desktop with a 13" or larger display.
- Minimum
- Tablet (iPad, Surface) in landscape orientation. The course player and quizzes are touch-friendly.
- Notes
- Phone use works for the dashboard, quizzes, and audio playback, but the 5-zone course player is optimized for screens 768px wide or wider. The proctored AZ pre-license final exam requires a laptop or desktop.
PDF Reader
- Recommended
- Any modern browser will display your CE certificate inline.
- Minimum
- Built-in PDF viewer in Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox, or Adobe Acrobat Reader (free).
- Notes
- Certificates download as standard PDF. If your browser opens the file as raw text instead of a PDF, install Acrobat Reader or right-click the certificate link and choose "Save link as…".
Cookies & Local Storage
- Recommended
- Allow first-party cookies for click2ce.com.
- Minimum
- Required for sign-in, course progress, seat time, and certificate generation.
- Notes
- If you sign in but immediately get bounced back to the sign-in screen, your browser is blocking the session cookie. Whitelist click2ce.com in your privacy settings or extensions.
Session Monitoring and Seat-Time Verification
Click2CE is required by state regulatory authorities to verify that each student personally completes all required seat time. The following applies to all credit-bearing CE and pre-license courses:
- Active engagement required. Your login and logout timestamps and IP address are recorded at the start and end of each session, as required by state regulation.
- Periodic server verification. The platform uses periodic server-side signals to confirm your active engagement during a lesson. Intervals during which the server cannot verify your active engagement are not credited toward your required seat time.
- Inactivity pause (15-minute logout, as required by state regulation). Your seat time stops automatically when you are not actively interacting with the course. After 15 minutes of inactivity, your session is paused and you will need to resume it. You will receive a warning before your session pauses.
- Multiple tabs / concurrent sessions. Opening the course player in multiple browser tabs does not generate additional seat-time credit. Only the active tab contributes to your seat time.
- Reconnection. If your internet connection is interrupted during a lesson, the platform will attempt to reconnect automatically. Intervals during which the server cannot verify your active engagement are not credited. Your progress through the lesson content is saved and resumes when connectivity is restored.
- Automated session maintenance is prohibited. Using any automated tool, script, or software to maintain your session, generate seat-time signals, or simulate course activity violates Click2CE's Terms of Service and may result in removal of seat-time credit, course suspension, or enrollment termination.
- Report technical problems promptly. If you believe a technical error has caused your seat time to be incorrectly recorded, contact support@click2ce.com immediately. Do not attempt to work around the issue. Verified system errors will be investigated and, where appropriate, corrected.
Quick self-test
If you can do all of these in your current browser, you're ready to enroll:
- Sign in to your dashboard without being redirected back to the sign-in page.
- Open a free practice exam and submit at least one answer — the feedback panel should render with the correct answer highlighted.
- Hear the AI Tutor reply with audio (or read its text reply if you've muted audio).
- Open a PDF in your browser tab without it downloading as a raw file.
