How to Get Licensed in Florida

Complete the 63-hour FREC-approved Sales Associate pre-license course (Course I).

Pass the end-of-course exam to receive your completion certificate.

Submit your Sales Associate application to the DBPR and pay the application fee.

Complete electronic fingerprinting through a Florida-approved Livescan provider.
- 5
Pass the Florida sales associate state exam administered by Pearson VUE.
- 6
Activate your license under a registered Florida broker.

After You Pass: Keeping Your License
First renewal, post-licensing, and continuing education
Sales associates must complete 45 hours of FREC-approved post-license education before their first renewal (brokers complete 60 hours). After the first renewal, 14 hours of continuing education are required every two years.
