How to Get Licensed in Arizona

Complete the 90-hour ADRE-approved Salesperson pre-license course from a state-approved school.

Pass the proctored end-of-course school final exam (minimum 80%) to receive your completion certificate.

Complete the separate 6-hour ADRE Contract Writing course required before activation.

Obtain an Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card and gather your education certificates.

Pass the Arizona salesperson licensing exam, administered by Pearson VUE.

Submit your license application and fees to ADRE, then activate under a designated broker.

- Renewal Date
- Every two years on the last day of the month in which the license was originally issued.

- Reporting
- The state does not require schools to report course completions. Arizona licensees self-report completions to ADRE. Click2CE provides your official certificate of completion as your record.
- Course Expiration
- Course expiration dates vary by course. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in your account. See our Terms & Conditions for more details.
- Certificates
- Upon completing a course, Click2CE will immediately provide you with an electronic certificate of completion. Certificates remain in your account for a minimum of five years. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit certificates with your renewal. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time.
- Final Exams
- Final exams must be passed with at least 80% and may be retaken as many times as needed to pass.
- License Renewal Process
- Log in to the ADRE licensing system and follow the prompts to renew.
- Student Verification
- All students are subject to random identity verification audits throughout each course.
- Max Hours in a 24-Hour Period
- Students will not receive credit for more than 9 hours of continuing education in a 24-hour period. Click2CE's course delivery system manages this requirement automatically.

First renewal, post-licensing, and continuing education
Arizona does not require a separate post-license course. Licenses renew every two years and require 24 hours of approved continuing education each cycle, including specific mandatory topics.
