How to Get Licensed in Pennsylvania

Complete the 75-hour PA-approved pre-license education (30-hour Real Estate Fundamentals plus 45-hour Real Estate Practice).

Pass the Pennsylvania salesperson licensing exam administered by Pearson VUE (75% to pass).

Complete the required criminal history records check.

Secure a sponsoring Pennsylvania broker.
- 5
Submit your Standard Salesperson application through PALS with the application fees.

Receive your license linked to your employing broker.

After You Pass: Keeping Your License
First renewal, post-licensing, and continuing education
New Pennsylvania salespersons must complete 14 hours of general (post-license) continuing education during their first two-year license period. Licenses renew every 2 years with 14 hours of CE.
