Steps to Become a Broker in Missouri

Meet the experience requirement
At least 24 months of active experience as a licensed salesperson within the preceding 30 months.

Complete broker pre-license education
Complete the required 72 hours of broker pre-license education from an approved school.

Pass the broker licensing exam
Pass the Missouri broker licensing exam, administered by PSI.

Submit your broker application
Apply through the MREC, pay the required fees, and complete any background or fingerprinting steps. Maintain broker-level continuing education going forward.
