Education Session Monitoring
As a state-approved provider of real estate education, Click2CE is required by state regulatory authorities to verify that students personally complete all required seat time and course activities. To satisfy these requirements and maintain the integrity of the educational programs we administer, we collect and use the following additional data during course sessions:
- Login and logout timestamps — precise date and time of each session start and end, as required by state regulation.
- Course-session and heartbeat records — periodic server-side signals confirming active engagement; intervals where engagement cannot be verified are not credited as seat time.
- IP addresses, browser type, and device information — collected at the start of each session and upon significant device or network changes.
- Concurrent-session and device-change indicators — records of simultaneous sessions or switches between devices during a course session.
- Drive Mode activity — records confirming active audio playback and server verification during Drive Mode course sessions.
- Lesson navigation and active-engagement signals — records of lesson progression, content interactions, and qualifying engagement events.
- Inactivity events and automatic session pauses — records of when a session was paused due to inactivity, as required by state regulation.
- Identity-verification events — records of identity checks performed during course sessions or examinations.
- Proctoring records — records of proctored examination sessions, including session video, screen recordings, and examination results, as processed by our proctoring service providers.
- Suspected-automation indicators — records of system-detected patterns that may indicate unauthorized automated activity; these records are used for compliance review and are not shared externally except as described below.
- Acknowledgment and electronic-signature records — records of course-orientation acknowledgments and enrollment agreements signed electronically, including the signed document snapshot, typed name, IP address, timestamp, and device information.
- Authentication-event records — records of authentication events associated with legally significant actions on the platform.
- Compliance-hold and appeal records — records of any temporary compliance hold, written notices, student responses, and written determinations issued under Click2CE's enforcement process.
- Audit communications — records of communications related to regulatory audits, investigations, or legal proceedings.
Purpose. This session monitoring data is used to: fulfill our state-regulatory obligation to verify student seat time and identity; detect and investigate potential violations of our Academic Integrity Policy; support regulatory audits and enforcement proceedings; and improve the security and reliability of our platform.
Personnel access. Raw session-monitoring records, including IP addresses, device identifiers, and audit data, are accessible only to Click2CE compliance and engineering staff with a legitimate operational need. Access is logged.
Acknowledgment. By enrolling in a credit-bearing course, you acknowledge that this session monitoring is a condition of receiving state-regulatory credit for your coursework.
